Walk up Lions Head!

A must-to for anyone who makes their way to Cape Town. This walk provides some of the best views of the Cape Peninsula and Robben Island. Although a bit steep at times, this walk is generally suitable for all levels, with a few chains and ladders along the way to help you in tougher stages. It will take you approximately an hour and thirty minutes to get to the top. Along the path you will find a series of chains and ladders to assist you as you scramble up a particularly steep section of rocky faces.

Entry is free, make sure you take all essentials with you such as water, snacks, cap/ sunglasses and a phone/camera to snap a few pics of the view!

Have a picnic in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens was voted “International Garden of the Year” by the International Garden Tourism Awards Body in 2015. Nestled at the base of Table Mountain, this garden is one of nine National Botanical Gardens covering five of South Africa’s six different biomes. Pack a picnic of your favourite snacks and refreshments, and enjoy a beautiful day out in the sun!

Entrance fees: R70 for Adults, R40 for students, R20 for children and under 6 years are free.

Visit the Two Oceans Aquarium!

Get a showcase the incredible diversity of marine life found in the the Indian and the Atlantic. With over 3000 creatures, this outing is fun for the whole family. This aquarium showcases over 7 breathtaking exhibits and is also committed to educating their visitors about ocean conservation.

Entrance fees (seasonal), R175 for adults,  R85-R130 for children depending on age, free for children under 4 years.

Explore the V&A Waterfront

The Waterfront is more than just a tourist attraction – it boasts some of the best restaurants and shops! During the festive season there is free live music and exciting attractions at the V&A Food Market.  Enjoy a scenic view from the Ferris wheel; a 15 minute ride that will give you the best bird’s eye view of the Mother City!
